OUR STORY

In the summer of 2009, Lee Bishop moved his sons Matt, Luke, and Jake from Denton Ryan to Aledo ISD. Matt Bishop quickly moved into a starting quarterback position and won back-to-back-to-back state championships in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and went on to play at Tarleton State. Younger brother Luke Bishop followed in his footsteps and won back-to-back championships in 2013 and 2014, and youngest brother Jake Bishop topped off the legacy with back-to-back championships in 2018 and 2019. Overseeing this success was their dad, who became Aledo’s offensive line coach in 2009 and stayed in that position until his retirement in 2023. Over the years, Matt has quietly been building a community of top quarterbacks and receivers across the DFW metroplex, regularly coaching 25+ QBs and receivers each week.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

  • The Bishop Legacy began when me and my dad made the decision to join the Aledo football program in 2009. Over the next 10 years, my two little brothers and I would collectively win a total of 7 state championships with my dad serving as the offensive line coach. 

  • Since I graduated from Aledo, I’ve been training quarterbacks and receivers to maximize their athletic potential. You might recognize some of the guys I’ve worked with, like Braden Fowler-Nicolosi at Colorado State, JoJo Earle at Alabama, Jase McLellan at the Atlanta Falcons, Money Parks at the University of Utah, Hauss Hejny at Oklahoma State, and many more over the years. 

  • Today, Bishop Legacy training is dedicated to empowering athletes of all levels with the skills, mindset, and values to gain a competitive advantage and reach their full potential. We do this through private lessons, camps, and 7-on-7 tournaments to deliver elite personalized instruction for every athlete.
